HOW TO GET TO PAROS
Paros has a domestic airport so you can fly in from Athens.
The airport code is PAS.
Flights are typically 25 minutes on a propeller plane.
The three primary airlines operating flights from mainland Greece to the islands are Aegean Airlines, its subsidiary Olympic Air, and SKY express. All three are equal in their performance. Just book whichever offers your preferred travel time.
Traveling by ferry is the most authentically Greek mode of transportation. Transit time on the ferry takes approximately 4 hours.

Transportation on the Island
There is no Uber in Paros. You can hire a taxi the old fashion way- by contacting a local company to pick you up. The island has a limited number of taxis, and it's normal to wait up to 30 minutes for the driver to arrive.
Cars and ATV's are available for rent if you'd like to explore on your own time. Paros has a very good road network with broad, paved roads all across the island There are several beaches and other beautiful locations around the island, having a car or an ATV would make it easier to access the many options. You could rent a car in Paros for around 70 Euro a day, including full insurance during the high season. You can sightsee and drive around the whole island in 1 day. There are plenty of parking spots available at every beach/ sightseeing location, most of them free!
Paros also has a good bus network with bus stations located centrally in every town.
Will there be a language barrier in Paros?
No! You'll find English speakers throughout the island. Shops, restaurants, and transportation services all cater to English-speaking tourists.
What is the currency?
The Euro is the national currency of Greece.
It's recommended to have small cash available for taxis, buses, and supporting small/independent vendors.
Most restaurants and shops accept credit cards.
Is Paros safe?
Paros is a very safe island.
There is no danger of walking around at any part of the island or any hour of the day.
Your belongings are safe if you leave them unattended for reasonable amounts of time (like going for a swim, or leaving belongings at a table if you step away).

Tap water on the island is a little salty to taste. It's safe, but bottled water is the go-to for drinking.
What is the weather like?
September will bring sunny days and cool evenings.
Bring your swimwear- the beaches are prime for tanning and the sea is the perfect temperature for swimming.
The wind is strong throughout the Cycladic islands. Shawls and light jackets are the perfect layer for when after the sun sets.
What to do on the island
Paros offers the perfect blend of traditional Cycladic charm, vibrant nightlife, and breathtaking beaches. Explore the quaint, upscale fishing village of Naoussa, wander the cobblestone streets of the mountain village of Lefkes, swim at the unique rock-formation beaches, and take a quick boat ride to the neighboring island of Antiparos.

Street cats are well cared for by the community of Paros.
If a friendly cat approaches you, feel free to interact.
Cat treats are sold at all markets. Pick up a small bag of snacks if you'd like to win their affection.
How long is the Wedding Ceremony?
The ceremony will last about 1 hour.
You're encouraged to explore the traditional village of Kostos. Coffee and pastries will be available for our guests who arrive early.
Van transportation will be provided from the ceremony to the reception venue.
Christiana Restaurant is approximately a 15 minute drive from the Church.

We'll provide a small card on the day-of so that you can follow along with what's happening.
